Surplus Goods Campus departments wishing to dispose of any equipment or office furniture can do so by using the services offered by our Surplus Goods Team. Items in good condition can be reused by other departments at the University, or can be sold off to the general public through the UCSF Surplus Store. The University can also make charitable donations of surplus goods to local qualifying groups and agencies that make special requests. If you are a UCSF department that wishes to dispose of equipment that is inventorial and has a UC property number on it, an Equipment Inventory Modification Request Form must be completed and faxed to Capital Assets Management* prior to disposal. Capital Assets will process the form and then forward it to us. The equipment/furniture will be picked up within 3-5 days from receipt of the form by our Surplus Goods Team. If you are disposing of non-inventorial equipment or office furniture, you'll only need to complete a Storehouse Requisition Form and then fax it to us. Pick-up of your items will be made within 3 to 5 days from receipt of form. Please be advised that additional charges will be made for equipment containing Freon or when your equipment or furniture must be dismantled or removed from walls, or if doors or other equipment must be removed in order to transport and dispose of them. Safety Notice Please be advised that the following safety procedures apply to any equipment being moved for surplus at Oyster Point:
* Capital Assets Management: Fax (415) 502-5642 / Phone (415) 502-3042
